  • Two Unique Opportunities For Teens 13-19 THIS SUMMER!

Feel the Music!, Tuesday's Children and the RECYouth program of the NYC Parks Department have partnered to offer free audio and video production workshops for teens. This is a unique, hands-on summer experience taught by renowned professionals using state of the art equipment.

I- Audio and Video Production Workshops

RECYouth's Video Production curriculum is centered on technical training in camera operation, sound production and Final Cut Pro editing, with a foundation in research, writing and storyboarding. Project production, from fictional narrative to experimental documentary, provides a strong technical vocabulary and an outlet for creative expression.
During our summer programs, youth rotate jobs, learning how to direct, shoot, mic and edit, ensuring experience with all aspects of production. Upon completion, work is featured at public screening events and submitted to festivals and for television broadcast. WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 12 to 4pm, with an optional field trip on Thursdays. Program Dates: July 11- August 16 WHERE: Hamilton Fish Recreation Center, 128 Pitt St. @ Houston (NYC) Limit of 15 students

    II- Intensive Songwriting Workshop
